Burnaby Condo Owner Accused Of Operating Illegal Brothel


The owner of a condo in Burnaby was ordered by a B.C Supreme Court Justice to stop using his property in an alleged sex scandal.

The default judgement was made on Tuesday, January 9th; however, the civil suit was filed by strata members in November 2017.

The man, Christopher Nino Diopita, lives in Unit 502 of Timberlea Tower C and is accused of using the property for “prostitution related activities.” In fact, the owners of the condo report that there were numerous, disturbing accounts that point toward unlawful activity.

CTV News reports that one neighbour described a distressing scene that involved a hysterical woman.  It is alleged that she screamed, “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t do this anymore.”

As a matter of fact, these complaints began over three years ago. Court documents include witness accounts of numerous violent outbursts and unsettling conversations.

The accused did not appear in court on Wednesday.
