Nothing can beat watching outdoor movies on a warm Summer night underneath the stars.
Luckily for us, there are lots of local spots to catch an outdoor flick. Check out one of these places in Metro Vancouver that are offering drive-in films or sitting on the grass-style movie nights.

Outdoor Movies in Metro Vancouver
Langley

Open every night rain or shine, check out a variety of films including: Despicable Me 3, Transformers, Baywatch, Spiderman and much more. General admission is $12.50, cheap Tuesdays are $9.50 and on Thursdays you can purchase a carload (max five people) for $28. There’s a concession with the classic movie snacks and drinks. Check it out at 260th Street & Fraser Highway.
There’s going to be a movie night hosted by Cinema Under the Stars on Saturday, July 22nd. The movie is yet to be announced but will be displayed over a giant screen at the Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery, at 6179 248 Street. The movie is free with purchase of admission into the Fresh Family Fun field. Gates open at 6pm and the movie will start around 9:15pm.
Surrey

Movies Under the Stars at Holland Park
Grab a blanket and cuddle up to watch a free movie at dusk on Saturdays this August. The movie lineup includes Lego Batman, Sing, Moana and Beauty and the Beast. Come early as there will be live performers and musicians entertaining the crowd, starting at 5pm. Located on King George Blvd & 100 Avenue.

Richmond

Fresh Air Cinema is bringing back their free outdoor movies every Wednesday in July and August at Lansdowne Centre’s parking lot. The drive-in will show Beauty and the Beast, Sing, Jurassic Park, La La Land, 10 Things I Hate About You and more. Check it out at 5300 No. 3 Road.
Vancouver

Fresh Air Cinema at Stanley Park
One of Vancouver’s favourite events is back in Stanley Park’s Second Beach. The free movies take place every Tuesday throughout July and August. Held at the Grand Lawn at Ceperley Meadows, there’s room for 5,000 people. Make sure to arrive early or purchase VIP tickets to have guaranteed seating ($20). The lineup includes The Goonies, Toy Story, National Lampoons Vacation, Beauty and the Beast sing-a-long, Jaws, Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Waterfront Cinema at Canada Place
This beautiful waterfront location will host outdoor movies every Thursday from July 27 – August 31. Screenings will take place at the newly refurbished North Point at Canada Place. This year’s lineup has yet to be announced but will be sure to be featured here once available.
Outdoor Summer Movies in New West
Take in free outdoor movies in New West’s Queen’s Park Stadium every Friday at 7pm. Films include: Footloose, Dirty Dancing, Hook, Toy Story, Finding Dory, Sing and Lego Batman. There will be a concession with light stacks and pops to purchase.
