Start your summer with nothing but good times with Kits Point Patio Party 2026 on Friday, July 3, 2026! You are invited to a party that takes place across not one, not two, but three whole patios at Vanier Park’s H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Museum of Vancouver, and Vancouver Maritime Museum.
With live entertainment, astronomy experiences, a waterfront beer garden, and so much more, Kits Point Patio Party is the place to be this July.
Kits Point Patio Party 2026
Kits Point Patio Party is a massive summer celebration spanning three different waterfront patios at three different locations at Vanier Park. H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Museum of Vancouver, and Vancouver Maritime Museum are your patio venues, with each spot offering something different. The fun ranges all the way from amazing live music to browsing local artists and makers, as well as plenty of hands-on activities and delicious food.
Each venue is within easy walking distance of one another, making Kits Point Patio Party the perfect evening spent out in the sunset as you bask in those summer vibes with a mocktail and good tunes.

Three Patios, Three Vibes
Space Centre Patio
The Space Centre Patio is located at H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, where you’re invited to reach for the stars. Here, creativity meets cosmic curiosity– check out a curated collection of local artists, makers, and food vendors who offer handmade goods and beautiful artwork for sale. Try some sweet summer treats, or even get your tarot cards read!
Since it’s summer, now’s a great time to try out H.R. MacMillan Space Centre’s solar telescope. With it, you can safely view the Sun for an entirely new view of our solar system’s brightest star. There are also plenty of other interactive and hands-on activities that you can take part of at the Space Centre Patio, such as arts and crafts.
For those wanting to take one giant leap for mankind, you can even try out the Augmented Reality Solar System Tour! This is an all-new augmented reality experience that takes visitors aged 5+ on a journey through the solar system. No screens necessary– it’s pure immersive discovery. Just walk along planets with your AR headset guide and witness the cosmos up close. Tickets are available for the experience on site!
Museum of Vancouver Patio
Looking for some tunes? The Museum of Vancouver Patio will be hosting live music all throughout the party, featuring a diverse lineup of local artists. Whether you’re looking for soulful singer-songwriters or experimental electronica, you’ll definitely hear something you’ll like at this patio.

- 6:30pm: Francis Baptiste
- 7:30pm: DFX Daffodil
- 8:30pm: Lola Whyte
And at 9:30pm, there will be an open mic! Bring your singing voice and share a song on the stage– sign-up begins on arrival, with space limited and based on first-come, first-served.
While you’re there, you can also grab a non-alcoholic mocktail. Whether you’re the designated driver or just prefer something without alcohol, you’re set for the evening with a great drink by the water.
Vancouver Maritime Museum Patio
For you 19+ folks, the Vancouver Maritime Museum Patio will be hosting a waterfront beer garden overlooking English Bay. Pair your cold one with bites from local food vendors, as well as the gorgeous views of the water and sunset. This is one unforgettable evening with your friends and community.
You’ll also be able to enjoy extended gallery hours until 8:00pm with a ticket purchase. Take a look at the amazing and fascinating exhibits, including the historic St. Roch.
What to Know Before You Go
Kits Point Patio Party is completely free to attend, with RSVPs being highly encouraged. Walk-ins are also welcome, though.
Do note that museum admission is not included with your attendance, so be sure to prepare to get a ticket if you want to stroll through the exhibits at the museums.
