Following a temporary closure and morning class cancellations, Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus has declared it is cancelling all classes and shutting down campus for the day.
SFU Burnaby first cancelled classes earlier in the morning until further notice due to heavy snow and hazardous conditions on Burnaby Mountain.

Transportation was also limited as Translink temporarily shut down service of its big buses to and from the campus due to poor and slippery road conditions.
Early in the afternoon, the institution announced classes would be back in session, but quickly decided against it.

Enjoy your day off, students!
