Daniel Sedin Loses Teeth After Taking Puck To The Face (Video)

It was one of those freak accidents that can occur in a hockey game, and Daniel Sedin was unfortunately on the receiving end of a puck to the face.

During the first period of Monday night’s game, Daniel Sedin attempted to bat out a flying puck with his stick while Arizona Coyotes defensemen Mark Stone attempted to swat it with his glove. Stone succeeded, but his swat automatically connected with Sedin’s mouth.

Daniel immediately fell to his knees as he felt the impact of the incident. He eventually made his way to the bench, leaving behind a trail of blood on the ice. As he got to the bench, Sedin opened his mouth to show the Canucks’ trainer the damage and revealed a smile that would make any fan cringe.

“I think he lost three or four teeth,” Henrik Sedin said. “It’s just an accident that happens. He came back so that’s good. A few teeth is not a big deal. That shouldn’t stop you from playing. He played well tonight. Our line played the best game since after Christmas.”

Still think the Sedin’s are soft?
