The City of Vancouver has kicked off Pride Week with flying colours, literally.
Much to everyone’s surprise, City officials unveiled bright rainbow crosswalks at the intersection of Davie and Bute Street in Vancouver’s West End to mark the launch of Pride Week.
The colourful crosswalks were painted as part of the city’s continuous effort to become one of the most diverse and accepting places across the world. A rough cost of the new crosswalk is roughly $25,000.
