A local developer is planning a new 50-storey building next to Surrey’s new City Hall and City Centre Library in Whalley.
The project would offer a hotel, condo units and an office tower for professional use, all within walking distance of the Surrey Central SkyTrain station and shopping mall. The developer states that a “grand lobby” would connect all three building components with the hotel and office tower being open twenty-four seven. This would make it the second building in the neighborhood with 24/7 access (SFU Surrey)
If approved by Surrey’s council April 8th, the project will kick off later this summer and expect to be completed by early 2016. The site for the project was formerly occupied by the Whalley Library on the 10300 block of City Parkway.
