Just yesterday, we reported that the city was considering hosting free outdoor Raptors viewing parties.
Well unfortunately, the City of Vancouver has decided it will not host any Toronto Raptors viewing parties.
In a statement, the city says that they “will not be hosting or providing funding for an NBA Finals viewing event in Vancouver”.
“Events of this nature require adequate lead time to plan and execute successfully, and while we reviewed plans for a potential viewing event, we were not able to identify a location that was suitable and available for a series of up to seven games”.

The idea to host these free outdoor Raptors viewing parties was first supported by Vancouver city councillor Michael Wiebe.
The proposed event would’ve been a free outdoor, all-ages event that included stages and food trucks.
Looks like Jurassic Park West is extinct before it even came to life.
