Canada Day is one of the few days of the year where fireworks are expected– because what’s a celebration like Canada Day without a beautiful spectacle in the sky?
Practically the entire Lower Mainland is going to be celebrating Canada Day, so we’ve compiled a list of the 7 that feature those bright and bold fireworks we love to watch!
ABBOTSFORD
In Abbotsford, you can celebrate Canada Day with the city’s annual parade! This year’s theme is “Lights, Camera, Camera Day!”, featuring your favourite movie moments that will be part of the show. And there will also be all the other Canada Day staples you expect: food trucks, live performances, and plenty of community vibes.

In addition, the Canada Day celebrations will include tons of areas and interactive fun for all ages, such as the Kids Zone and Blackwood Sand Box. A big highlight of the festivities is the Community Showcase area, which includes a number of booths that are hosted by “local organizations, cultural groups, and nonprofits.”
Weather permitting, the fireworks will be blasting off at 10:00pm for the grand finale of Canada Day. This exciting display will be launching at the Baseball Diamonds, so be sure to get a good spot! Abbotsford’s Canada Day will be taking place at Abbotsford Exhibition Park.
