  • The Bodydonnas (Skip & Zip) defeated The Smoking Gunns (Billy Gunn & Bart Gunn)
  • Mankind defated Henry O. Godwinn
  • Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Marc Mero (w/ Sable)
  • The Undertaker defeated Goldust (by DQ)

The sports and entertainment event took place on July 21, 1996 as the professional wrestling production company’s main lead-up event to the summertime showcase and blockbuster SummerSlam. Mankind interfered in the Undertaker’s match, costing him a victory due to disqualification. At SummerSlam (1996) Mankind went on to beat the Undertaker in a Boiler Room Brawl. That’s also where Shawn Michaels successfully defended the Championship against Vader.

Fun facts:

  • 28 ‘In Your House’ style events were held between 1995 and 1999
  • Vancouver also hosted Rock Bottom: In Your House on December 13, 1998
  • Winnipeg and Calgary are the only two other Canadian cities to host an In Your House event

In Your House 9 was set to feature The Ultimate Warrior in tag team action with Shawn Michaels and Ahmed Johnson versus another trio. Unfortunately the Warrior left the company weeks before over a booking disagreement.
