A car traveling in the wrong direction through the Massey Tunnel sent three people to hospital on Sunday, March 25th.
The head-on collision sent a 26-year-old man to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His Volkswagen Golf had crashed into a Toyota RAV4 on Highway 99 in the Northbound Lane.
The 48-year-old Toyota driver’s injuries are unknown at this time; however, the 19-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries.

Massey Tunnel Crash
A third vehicle, a Honda Pilot, was also involved in the crash; both driver and passenger only suffered minor injuries.
The northbound lane of Highway 99 was closed for multiple hours while RCMP dealt with the investigation.
The RCMP is asking witnesses to the incident to contact Deas Island Traffic Services at 778-290-2400 and cite file 2018-949 with any information.
