Canada’s Most Livable Cities

The chart marks a number of big Canadian cities, including Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Montreal, among many others. They’re placed on a four-quadrant graph that lists the following: Best Value, Premium Life, Budget Living, and Bad Value.

A number of commenters have echoed similar sentiments as one another, saying that Vancouver is definitely livable until you account for how much it costs to actually live there. It also begs the question if Vancouver is actually worth its steep price point.

Worth the Cost?

According a ranking from The Globe and Mail, a number of Metro Vancouver cities are considered to be among the Canada’s most livable cities. This includes West Vancouver and North Vancouver, which were chosen due to a combination of factors like housing, economy, community, amenities, climate, and more.

Not only that, but Vancouver is also considered to be among Canada’s top-5 happiest cities.

Despite Vancouver’s costs, the city has a lot to offer. Tons of events, beautiful mountains and greenery, and delicious food no matter where you look. Depending on your own opinion, that may or may not make Vancouver worth the price.
