Think you need to buy a plane ticket south of the border in order to enjoy sizzling May weather?

Think again!

On Monday, May 14th, Metro Vancouver temperatures sizzle up to 29°C inland, beating out some major hot spots. In fact, the highest temperature in sunny Los Angeles is 21°C degrees. The sunny weather has continued after the weekend, when temperatures reached a high of 29°C on Mother’s Day.

Similarly, tropical Miami boasts a high of 28°C. With that in mind, the humid hotspot feels like a sweltering 38, thanks to its balmy conditions. But, with plenty of thunder and lightning in the forecast, it wouldn’t be a viable alternative to the Vancouver sunshine.

While the rest of forecast doesn’t predict this weekend’s highs to continue, temperatures are expected to be very pleasant. Highs are expected to reach approximately 20°C to 23°C  throughout the remainder of the week. In addition, there will be plenty of sunshine, and even the evenings will be relatively warm.
