Known as Hollywood North, there’s always some exciting TV shows filming in and around Vancouver.

In May, there were over 16 of them filming in the city. This June, there are also 12 shows scheduled for production throughout the region.

Wrapped Up

Last month, A Series of Unfortunate Events starring Neil Patrick Harris wrapped up its third and final season which adapted the last 4 novels in the series. He bid farewell to Vancouver with one last hike and a Tony Award-worthy rendition of O’Canada:

A number of brand new shows to Vancouver also wrapped up production of their inaugural seasons. These include History Channel’s UFO drama Blue Book, Facebook Watch’s first original scripted drama Sacred Lies and National Geographic’s limited-series take on Silicon Valley in the 90’s, Valley of the Boom.

In addition, a new TV pilot Search and Destroy also filmed in town for a week during May. Trial & Error which moved production from Burbank, California to Vancouver completed its second season. Also, another import to Vancouver, Supergirl, completed its third season.

TV Shows Filming

The BC film industry and fans alike can look forward to at least 12 television series scheduled for production throughout June. This includes returning favourites like ABC’s The Good Doctor starring Freddie Highmore – he previously had a stint in Vancouver filming Bate’s Motel. It also includes highly anticipated new shows like The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina for Netflix based on the beloved Sabrina the Teenage Witch Character from Archie Comics.
