Everyone has the Royal Wedding on their mind, but there’s a Great British Tea Party happening right in Vancouver.
Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s Notch 8 has a British-themed afternoon tea you must try. Pinkies up as you enjoy a selection of tea, finger sandwiches and of course—scones.
The restaurant’s private dining room has undergone a makeover with the addition of a classic red telephone booth, vintage decor, Union Jacks and more.
The menu includes a raisin and butter scone, served with strawberry jam and Devonshire cream. Dig into a variety of tiny sandwiches like coronation chicken, ham cheddar and chutney, English cucumber and radish—just to name a few.
No afternoon tea would be complete without some sweets. These are just a few of their tasty treats: Victoria sponge cake roll, Earl Grey shortbread and a lemon bar on vanilla bean sable.
