Metro Vancouver Gas Prices Have Hit a Low Of 125.9 Cents a Litre

Vancouver Gas Prices

Just like that, they keep dropping. As of Thursday morning, Metro Vancouver gas prices are as low as 125.9 cents a litre.

Just yesterday, prices hit a low of 128.9 cents a litre at pumps across the region.

Back in May, gas prices in Vancouver reached a high of 171.9 cents a litre within the Lower Mainland region, which may be hard to believe today.

Not to mention, on April 1st, a price hike for the provincial carbon tax took effect that many weren’t happy about. As a result, this adds a 1.14 cents a litre increase for British Columbians when they fill up their vehicles. What this means is that the carbon tax has increased from $35 per tonne of Co2 to $40 per tonne. In 2018, the first of four annual carbon tax increases took place.

Fast forward to today and gas prices have dropped by over 40 cents!
