Surrey’s beloved Bear Creek Lights is once again illuminating Bear Creek Park, offering an expanded after-dark experience that celebrates natural beauty through illuminated walkways, interactive activities, and family-friendly fun.
From November 6–20 (closed November 11 for Remembrance Day), Bear Creek Park will come alive after dark with dazzling light displays. More than 60,000 visitors attended last year, so advance booking is highly recommended.
Bear Creek Lights 2026
Now in its 14th year, Bear Creek Lights will bring Bear Creek Park to life after dark with dazzling light displays and illuminated pathways. Attendees can stroll through radiant tunnels, take pictures with returning favourite decorations, watch live performances, among a variety of other activities and experiences. Whether you’re bringing your family, friends, or planning a date night, this immersive event is a fantastic way to experience Bear Creek Park.
What to Expect
Wondering what’s on at this year’s Bear Creek Lights? From adding even more light displays to delicious food trucks, here’s what you can expect when you arrive at Bear Creek Park:

- A sparkling 40-foot starlight tunnel and Giant Bear for iconic photo-ops
- Free guided nature walks, storytime sessions, and live performances on select evenings
- Nightly food trucks, featuring favourites like Little oOties, Japadog, and Rotato Potato
The event follows an accessible, family-friendly walking route through the park’s garden, suitable for visitors using mobility aids or strollers, with washrooms available on-site.
Do note that Bear Creek Lights runs rain or shine (except in the case of extreme weather), so be sure to dress for the weather!
Ticket Information
As always, Bear Creek Lights is free to attend, but visitors are strongly encouraged to reserve a timed-entry ticket in advance. Tickets are strongly recommended, as drop-in availability will be limited, especially on weekends.
The tickets will be available beginning October 20 at 10:00am, with entry times offered every thirty minutes from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, seven days a week. Weekends are expected to be particularly busy, so it’s definitely a good idea to book your spot to make sure you don’t miss this annual event.
Guest parking is available off 88 Avenue, with event check-in located at the Spray Park entrance immediately south of the parking lot.
