Music | Music By The River 2017
Put on by the Arts Council of New Westminster, Alex Jopson (of City to Suburb Real Estate Group) and the City of New Westminster, this all-ages event delivers high-quality entertainment to the community. Not to mention, Westminster Pier Park will have a wide variety of the arts, including live musical performance, two DJ stages, busking performances, artisan vendors, live painting, ribbon dancing, and more is in the schedule.
Vancouver Greek Summerfest 2017 is entering its final days. Celebrate Greek food, culture, and music at St. Nicholas and Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church over 11 days. It runs from noon until 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. each day. Greek Summerfest is a free event where you pay for your lamb dinner, souvlaki or any other food you enjoy. Take in dancing, musicians, and other entertainment while you indulge.
Adult-fun | 19+ Adult Nights At Playland
Playland is mixing things up this summer with the introduction of their all new 19+ adult nights. As a result, adults can now look to explore the park without a child in sight. The event will run every Friday in July, kicking off on July 7 and returning July 14, 21, and 28. Each event will run from 7:00pm through midnight.
Bargains | Eastside Flea Summer Markets
The Eastside Flea Summer Markets returns again this weekend for three days of endless bargains It will take place at The Ellis Building on Friday from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is $3 and a weekend pass is $5.
Outdoor Movie | Theatre Under The Stars 2017
Theatre Under the Stars presents one of the most popular Disney classics of all time, Mary Poppins. It plays from Friday, July 7th, 2017 – Friday, August 18th at Stanley Park’s Malkin Bowl. Everyone’s favourite nanny captures hearts anew as she swoops in to teach the Banks family a lesson in love and imagination.
Outdoor shopping | Night Markets
The Illumination Night Market, Richmond Night Market, and North Vancouver Shipyards Night Market are all now open. In addition, Fridays on Front, a brand new weekly night market experience in Downtown New West is now open. Fridays on Front will run every Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for eight consecutive weeks on the 600-block of Front Street.
Free outdoor yoga returned to Kitsilano Beach on Thursday, June 1st, 2017 and runs until the end of August. The daily free yoga classes are organized by Mat Collective. Not to mention, they will feature 1-3 classes each day with a variety of different levels.
Festival | 7th Annual Indian Summer Festival
The 7th annual Indian Summer Festival concludes on Saturday, July 15th. Grammy Award-winning musicians, oral storytellers, hip-hop artists and international visionaries all collaborated at this year’s festival held at venues across the city.

On Saturday, July 15th, the country and Americana showcase takes over with Drake White and the Big Fire at the top of the poster. This Alabama-raised and Nashville-based singer came up the hard way, working in construction while he chased his music dreams.
Singing | Surrey “Mary Poppins Sing-A-Long” 2017
Are you a huge fan of the 1964 hit movie Mary Poppins? Well you have a chance on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 to sing-along to some of the movie’s greatest songs. An outdoor “Mary Poppins Sing-A-Long” film takes place at Surrey City Hall’s Civic Plaza. It is a special event in the Movies Under the Stars series hosted by Downtown Surrey BIA.
Endurance | Rugged Maniac 5K Vancouver 2017
Rugged Maniac is coming back for another epic year to the Cloverdale Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 15th, 2017. Participants who register get a chance to run the 5 km course, which will be highlighted by 25 epic obstacles.
