Who are the richest people in Vancouver? We’ve heard of a few millionaire’s, but who are the billionaire’s in our city? It’s a question we all wonder sometimes out of curiosity. Truth is, Vancouver is home to a large number of millionaire’s and surprisingly a dozen billionaire’s.  There’s clearly a lot of money in the 604, so that brings us to our next question, who has most of it?

Canadian Business Magazine recently revealed a list ranking the 25 richest Canadians, featuring 3 from Vancouver.

Headed by two brothers: Aminmohamend and Mansoor, the Lalji family has created a real estate empire over thirty years in Canada. The family originally immigrated from Uganda in the 1970’s. Their business, The Larco Group of Companies specializes in retail properties, hotels, and storage facilities.

2. Dennis ‘Chip’ Wilson – $3.73 billion

Born in Vancouver,  Chip is a businessman and philanthropist who has founded several retail apparel companies, most notably yoga-inspired athletic apparel company Lululemon. Chip is currently Lululemon’s majority shareholder and chairperson.

Chip celebrated his 40th birthday with a huge party at his Kitsilano home, a party which featured a live performance by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

James Pattison, also known as Jim is the president, managing director, chief executive officer, chairman and sole owner of the Jim Pattison Group, the third largest privately held company in Canada.
