The weather may play a little trick on us today. While it’s scheduled to be the hottest day of the year so far, there’s a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for Metro Vancouver tonight.
Environment Canada is calling for strong gusts of wind, large hail and heavy rainfall in the forecast for tonight, May the 4th.
It has the potential to become severe, especially in the eastern sections of Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Howe Sound and Whistler.
Intense lightning and thunder is expected and the heavy downpours are likely to cause some flooding on the roads.
