The first full-length trailer for The Wolverine is online, showing Hugh Jackman’s adamantium-clawed superhero weakened and fighting for his life in Japan.
Directed by Walk the Line’s James Mangold, this is the mutant Marvel comics character’s sixth time on the big screen (including a cameo in recent prequel X-Men: First Class) and second full-length solo film. Critics were unimpressed by 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but it was a box-office hit nonetheless, taking $373m (£246m) worldwide.
