One of Vancouver’s most beloved funny guys is going to be the new voice of Translink.
Originally, Translink stated that Morgan Freeman would make announcements on SkyTrains and buses; however, the following day, the actor was accused of sexual misconduct with 8 women.
Luckily, a hometown hero stepped up to the plate. Within the day that the news broke, Seth Rogen tweeted that he’d happily make the announcements.

Of course, it was hard to say whether the offer would officially go through. On Thursday, July 26th, Translink tweeted that the star would be making the announcements.
The enthusiastic Vancouver native stated that he was “thrilled” to take part in the project. As such, you’ll be able to take in his charismatic comedic stylings on some of the city’s routes.

Metro Vancouver riders may now use contactless Visa and Mastercard credit cards and Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay instead of Compass Cards. As part of the new feature’s rollout, Freeman’s voice welcomed riders to tap their Visa credit card. His voice was retracted from the rollout.
