Metro Vancouver has issued stage 3 water restrictions, effective immediately due to the hot, and dry summer the 604 is currently experiencing.
The announcement comes just a week after the province declared a level 4 drought for the Fraser Valley and South Coast.
According to the notice, all residents across metro Vancouver are banned from:
- Sprinkling their lawn
- Washing your vehicles on your property, or boats
- Filling personal swimming pools and hot tubs
- Private and commercial pressure washing
- Watering vegetables gardens, flowers, and trees with the use of a sprinkler or hose.

While there are bigger worries for the future, the event threatens plans for the highly anticipated 1,000 foot giant water slide planned for North Vancouver this summer.
