Beloved 52-Year-Old “Riverdale” Actor Luke Perry Has Died Of A Stroke

Former Beverly Hills, 90210 heartthrob and Riverdale actor Luke Perry has died at the age of 52.

According to multiple reports, Perry died Monday morning after suffering a massive stroke last week.

He was rushed to the hospital last Wednesday when he suffered the stroke at his California home.

Perry played Archie’s dad, Fred Andrews, on CW’s hit show, “Riverdale” and he was seen filming for the show around Vancouver numerous times.

Earlier this year, it was also announced that “Riverdale” was being renewed for a fourth season.

As the news of his condition and death spread, tributes from former and current co-stars came pouring in.

Riverdale executive producers issued this statement after learning about his passing:

Luke Perry became a teen idol for playing Dylan McKay on the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1995, and again from 1998 to 2000.
