Love On The Spectrum

Love on the Spectrum is a highly-successful Netflix series that follows the love lives of neurodivergent individuals. The show began in Australia, but quickly grew in popularity and expanded overseas to the U.S. with two other seasons.

Northern Pictures is the production team behind Love on the Spectrum. They describe it as “follow[ing] adults on the autism spectrum as they navigate the world of relationships and dating.” Their ultimate aim is to send a positive message and “break… down some of the myths, misconceptions, and stereotypical views, and celebrating differences.”

“As with the previous series, we aim to make an honest, sensitive, and insightful documentary.”

Casting Call

As for the casting call, it is currently looking for single people living in the United States and Canada who are on the autism spectrum and are interested in dating.

“You may have no history of dating, or you might be an experienced dater,” reads the casting call. “We are hoping to represent the great diversity of the autism spectrum, and are keen to hear from a range of people.”

Those that are interested can send an email with a brief description of themselves (and a photo) to [email protected]. This also goes for if you know someone who is interested; you can submit them, too!

Currently, Northern Pictures is trying to connect with as many potential participants as possible. All initial contact is informal and doesn’t mean you are committing to being part of the series. Conversations are slated to be short, and typically around 5-10 minutes on Zoom.
