And when artists like Drake and Cardi B need a place to stay, there’s one hotel that they have on their radar. Here’s a look at one of Vancouver’s best hotels, and the rooms that hosted the some of the world’s most popular stars.
Fairmont Pacific Rim
Voted the second best hotel in Canada and raved about by celebrities is the Fairmont Pacific Rim. With a 5.0-star rating, a business centre, fitness centre, and pets being allowed inside, the Fairmont Pacific Rim is undoubtedly a luxurious spot for plenty of travellers.
Drake and Cardi B seem to agree.
Celebrity Hotel Stays: Drake and Cardi B
Back in 2023, Drake was on his It’s All A Blur Tour, and stayed in the Fairmont Pacific Rim. While he hasn’t explicitly stated which room he stayed in, it’s fairly clear from photos which one he was in.
It’s called “Suite X.” This room is a “a one-of-a-kind concept designed in collaboration with internationally acclaimed Canadian visual artist and author, Douglas Coupland, and the hotel’s co-owner and developers, Westbank and Peterson.” It’s inspired by Generation X, Coupland’s novel that ultimately defined an entire generation.
It’s art, it’s design, and it’s hospitality, all in one room. And it’s also famous for being the room that Drake ordered those Cactus Club “leanies” from.
On the other hand, Cardi B was recently in town on her Little Miss Drama Tour. While she, like Drake, did not explicitly say which room she was in, her videos seem to show the Fairmont Gold Corner Suite.
This is a newly-renovated room that offers 1,200-sq.-ft. of space. It comes complete with a private patio and those breathtaking Vancouver views. You also get those Bocci pendant lights, a custom-designed B&B Italia sofa, 75″ TVs, Japanese-style washlets, a spa shower and soaker tub.
How Much Do The Rooms Cost?
Both rooms are part of the Fairmont Gold, so you can assume they’re on the higher-priced side.
For Cardi B, her room can run you from $2,585 to $3,053 per night, including taxes and fees. That’s already pretty expensive, but Drake’s will cost you a whopping $4,029 per night.
