He will find you, and he will eat your sandwich!

The action-revenge-thriller Hard Powder starring Liam Neeson has been filming in Alberta and British Columbia since March and wraps up later this month. It’s a remake of the 2014 Norwegian film In Order of Disappearance. Neeson plays a Colorado snowplow driver whose son is murdered by a drug lord, with some of the film set in the Rocky Mountains.

When the folks at Big Star Sandwich Co. found out he was shooting in New Westminster, they put out their own bat signal for the big star:

They also named a sandwich after him, “The Neeson” which has revengeful beef, bacon, hickory sticks and spice.

And much to their surprise, it worked!

The 64-year-old Oscar-nominated actor from Northern Ireland is most known for his roles in Schindler’s List, Star Wars: Episode I and the Taken franchise. He also starred in another wilderness flick The Grey back in 2011 which revolved around oil-men surviving in Alaska after a plane crash.

Big Star has locations in Burnaby and New Westminster and is known for its 13-hour slow roasted beef, daily roasted hand pulled turkey and house-brined corned beef. Locations in Surrey and Maple Ridge are coming soon.
