We found direct flights departing Wednesday, October 4th and returning Sunday, October 8th that cost less when bought individually than as a round-trip package.
The flights are with Air Canada, but if you simply buy the return airfare as a package on their site you’re looking at paying at least $50 CAD more.
The total for the first ticket is $146.05 CAD, and the second one is $118.23 CAD. This makes the total fare just $264.28 CAD including tax. If you just plug in the dates and hope for the best, this fare will not appear.

While it is still recommended to stay near the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the downtown core of LA since it is close to numerous eateries, bars, cafes, shopping, tours, and more, you will still miss out on a great deal if you do not have another means of getting around the city. Cars, taxis, and limousines are all viable options in this fantastic city.
Also, please ensure that you give yourself plenty of time before you board your flight into the states as new measures were implemented that could stall you at the border. The US recently upped their security protocol to ensure that terrorist actively is being prevented.
