If you’re travelling through the George Massey Tunnel this weekend, you’ll want to prepare for a closure and detours.

George Massey Tunnel Closure
From September 18 to 19, the tunnel will be closed overnight for maintenance. The closure will be happening in both directions from 9:00pm to 6:00am on Friday and Saturday, worked on by Mainroad Lower Mainland Contracting.

The northbound lanes of Highway 99 at the Massey Tunnel will be closed on Friday, while the southbound lanes will be closed on Saturday.
For drivers in the area, there will be signs redirecting traffic to alternative routes, such as the Alex Fraser Bridge. Drivers are also encouraged to check DriveBC for updates.
