A new Banksy exhibition is heading to Vancouver’s Gastown from February 20 to May 25, but there’s a catch—the elusive street artist didn’t approve it.
The Art of Banksy: Without Limits is a traveling showcase that has toured the world. Including Europe, the U.S., South America, Asia, and Australia, featuring over 200 pieces, including more than 50 certified originals.

The exhibition includes prints, photographs, sculptures, and even a hologram installation, marking its Western Canadian debut.
Highlights include reproductions of his most iconic works, such as Flower Thrower and Kissing Coppers, as well as elements from Dismaland, the dystopian theme park he created in 2015. There’s also an “infinity room” exploring political themes and a section dedicated to his activism in Ukraine.

For a $2 donation, visitors can even spray-paint their own T-shirts, blending art with merchandise in a way that feels at odds with Banksy’s anti-capitalist ethos.
However, those hoping to see new works from Banksy will be disappointed—the artist distances himself from commercial exhibitions like this.

Despite Banksy’s disapproval, organizers insist the exhibition aims to spread his message worldwide. The irony of a ticketed event profiting from an artist known for critiquing capitalism isn’t lost, but that hasn’t stopped organizers.
“Banksy seeks to provoke, shock, and unsettle society,” said producer Sorina Burlacu in a statement. “Our mission is to capture the essence of his art and share it globally.”
