This beloved Langley tradition is perfect for a night out with friends, family, or that special someone in your life at one of the most unique holiday experiences in Metro Vancouver.
This season, Merry & Bright runs on select dates from November 20 to December 31 with an expanded roster of festive decorations that will delight returning and first-time visitors. Expect new live entertainment, even more character appearances, and a refreshed Christmas Market that’s waiting to be discovered.
Merry & Bright at Martini Town
Merry & Bright is more than a holiday event – it’s an immersive experience set against a real working outdoor film backlot, where the streetscapes and buildings have served as the backdrop for numerous popular movies and television productions. Once a year, this familiar filming location transforms into a festive getaway, inviting visitors to step into a holiday wonderland.
What’s New?
For 2026, guests will be enchanted by a refresh of Merry & Bright’s décor, with tons of new details to find along the snowy streets such as redesigned holiday window displays and festive installations. And for this year’s centrepiece, you can get some beautiful photo-ops with a 30-foot-tall Christmas Tree that is made entirely out of stacked presents!
Guests can swing by a new silent cinema experience in the alley that gives the space a nostalgic touch, alongside movie-inspired décor which calls back to Martini Town’s roots in B.C.’s film industry.
Even More Live Entertainment
As you wander the set, you’ll be able to find a full roster of live entertainment, with even more added this year.
The courthouse steps are Merry & Bright’s central performance area, and will be host to a rotating lineup of musical acts, as well as special entertainment all through the season. And new character appearances will bring some extra excitement, including Ebeneezer Scrooge visiting on Fridays and Santa’s Elf lending a helping hand to families snapping holiday photos.
The “Green Christmas Grouch” is back again for another season, bringing his holiday mischief to the event and its guests. Santa Claus will also be present for every event day through December 23, right before he needs to head back to the North Pole for some final Christmas preparations.
Finding that Perfect Gift
It’s not a holiday celebration without a market, so be sure to stop by Market Lane to discover some festive treasures. Featuring approximately 20 vendors throughout the season, Market Lane will offer a mixture of full-season and rotating sellers, so there’s always something new to see whenever you visit Merry & Bright.
Whether you’re looking for a gift for somebody– or you’re shopping for yourself– you can find plenty of handmade, unique products from local artisans. Market Lane is also located in a cozy heated tent, so it’s perfect for warming up while looking for some goodies.
Seasonal Treats
Feeling peckish? Merry & Bright has a delicious selection of food and beverages that suits every palate. They’ve got full meals, quick snacks, and a range of sweets and drinks to choose from.
As for what’s new, you can find Taco Nori serving up sushi tacos, and Mediterranean Grill with their wraps and fries. For returning favourites, there’s Hot Mini Donuts, Sticky’s Candy, Bar Down Bakery, and Texas Smoke BBQ.
Guests can also warm up with hot chocolate, warm apple cider, coffee, tea, and festive sweets from The Martini Cafe.
Ticket Information
Merry & Bright offers a rare opportunity to explore Martini Town, a working film set that opens to the public just once a year for this special holiday event. Tickets are available online only. There’s no gate sales– that means you definitely want to get your tickets well ahead of your visit.
Ticket prices depend on your age, but adults (18+) are $24 while children (ages 6-12) are $12. Do note that tickets come with a specific entry time, so be sure to arrive on schedule.
The event takes place entirely outdoors so please make sure you dress for the weather.
