Exhibition | Haida Now

The Museum of Vancouver (MOV), in partnership with Haida Gwaii Museum, presents a visual feast of innovation and tradition with new exhibition, Haida Now, on display until June 15th, 2019.

Guest curated by Haida Curator Kwiaahwah Jones in collaboration with Viviane Gosselin, Co-curator and Director of Collections & Exhibitions at MOV, this exhibition features an unparalleled collection of Haida art boasting more than 450 works created as early as 1890.

Carnival | PlayDome

Western Canada’s largest indoor carnival is back for spring break 2018 with six fun-filled days of carnival rides, games and sweet treats. With over 45 rides and attractions all under one roof, there is no better place for indoor family fun this spring break than at PlayDome.

PlayDome will be open this weekend until Monday, April 2nd and fair-lovers can enjoy all their favourite rides right inside BC Place.

Exhibition | Culture at the Centre

The Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at UBC presents a groundbreaking collaboration between six First Nations Communities with the illuminating new exhibition Culture at the Centre, on display this weekend until Monday, October 8th, 2018.

Co-curated by Jill Baird and Pam Brown, the collective effort offers insight into the important work Indigenous-run cultural centres and museums in BC are doing to support their language, culture, and history.

The 98th Vancouver International Auto Show returns from Wednesday, March 28th – Sunday, April 1st, 2018.

Visitors will experience the largest Vancouver Auto Show in the history of the event. It will be showcasing an unparalleled number of vehicles from ecos to exotics. There will also be a series of national and international unveils.

Music | Seasons Music Festival

On Sunday, April 1st from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m, The River District is hosting a GOLDEN event at their River District Neighbourhood Centre located at 8683 Kerr Street Vancouver. This free family friendly event will include gold foiled chocolate egg hunts (register below), balloons, cotton candy, crafts, face painting, and even a giant chocolate bunny draw! Fundraiser | MEC Vancouver Walk to 5K Clinic

In this ten week clinic we will guide you through a fun and safe progression of walking and running with the aim of confidently preparing you to complete a 5K run. Weekly sessions will consist of a 15 – 20 minute lecture followed by a specifically prescribed workout. The lectures will be presented by local professionals and add a great deal of additional knowledge to aid across various aspects of running.

This clinic is timed perfectly to participate in the MEC Vancouver: Road Race FOUR event on June 10th, 2018.

April 8 | Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival

The Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival is set amongst 255 Akebono cherry blossom trees at Garry Point Park, on the mouth of the Fraser River.

The festival will feature a day of traditional Japanese music and dance performances, delicious food options and fun activities as celebrated in Japan.
