23+ Celebs You Might Spot in Vancouver This June

Last month some mega celebs were in town including Khalid, Paul Simon, Pink and Shania Twain.

Singer and actress Kristin Chenoweth was also in town wrapping up the second season of NBC’s Trial & Error which moved production from Burbank.

New Girl’s Larmone Morris was in town for a special limited series by National Geographic, a docudrama on Silicon Valley’s tech boom in the 90’s.

Chris Pratt

Hollywood A-List actor Chris Pratt will be in Vancouver this summer for his next big action adventure movie Cowboy Ninja Viking which is based on a comic book series. The blockbuster is scheduled to start filming in town this month.

His now-ex Anna Farris was in town last year shooting the remake of Overboard which was released in theaters last month.

Keanus Reeves

‘The One’ Keanu Reeves is getting ready for John Wick 3 but will also appear in a new Netflix comedy, Always Be My Maybe. It also stars Ali Wong, Randall Park and Daniel Dae Kim.

Orlando Bloom

Orlando Bloom is joined by  Frieda Pinto and Leslie Odmon Jr in Vancouver to film the movie Needline in a Timestack. Production is scheduled in town for June 18 to July 24.

Frieda Pinto

Slumdog Millionarie star Freida Pinto is not stranger to Vancouver having filmed 2011’s Rise of the Planet of The Apes in Vancouver with James Franco.

Leslie Odom Jr

Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr from Broadway’s Hamilton!

The movie also stars Cynthia Erivo who recently filmed Bad Time at the El Royale in Vancouver. Its cast includes Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Chris Hemsworth, Jeff Bridges, Russell Crowe and Cailee Spaeny.

Nicolas Cage

Equally loved as he is hated an as actor, Nic Cage brings his style of action-drama to Vancouver.

Dove Cameron

Disney teen star Dove Cameron reprises her role in The Descendants 3 which shoots til July 3.

Freddie Highmore

The Good Doctor withdrawals? Don’t worry starts filming around town again at the end of the month. Recognized filming locations include Vancouver Community College and outside Surrey City Hall.

Lost and Hawaii 5-O star Daniel Dae Kim will be back in Vancouver for Season 2 of The Good Doctor which he produces. He’s also set to appear in Always Be My Maybe with Ali Wong, Randall Park, Keanu Reeves and more.

American-Indian (that’s East Indian/South Asian not Native Indian) actor Karan Soni is no stranger to Vancouver having filmed Deadpool and its sequel here. He’s known as Deadpool’s taxi driver Dopinder. He’ll be appearing in the Netflix comedy Always Be My Maybe with Ali Wong, Randall Park, Keanu Reeves, Daniel Dae Kim and more.

Milo Ventimiglia

This Is Us star Milo Ventimiglia stars in the film adaptation of Seattle author Garth Stein’s novel The Art of Racing in the Rain. It started filming in Vancouver at the end of April and wraps up by July 23. He’s already been spotted all over Vancouver.

Ben Platt

Pitch Perfect star, Tony and Grammy award winner Ben Platt gets his first film lead in the drama Love & Oatmeal. He was critically acclaimed and won a Tony for his performance in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen.The film is scheduled to start shooting in town from June 4.
