When I was asked to go out clubbing on a Tuesday night, at first I was confused. Clubbing on a school/work night just didn’t seem right. However, after experiencing Vancouver’s best during-the-week party at Celebrities Tuesdays, going out early in the week made sense.
Walking in, Celebrities Tuesdays looks like a club you would expect to see in a movie. The music is extremely loud and beams of coloured light flash throughout the facilities, instantly putting you in a mood to have fun.
Courtesy of its renovations earlier this year, the interior is also extremely modern. One nice feature is the upstairs sitting area on either side of the dance floor, giving you a place to move out of the crowd and look out onto the partying from up above.
The mixes from the DJ’s on Tuesday night are great as well. Incorporating modern songs with a taste of techno. My only complaint there would be that they never play out a full song, making it hard to sing along.
Part of what adds to Celebrities’ carefree and fun atmosphere is the hordes of people it attracts. Go here and you certainly won’t be partying alone! The dance floor is completely packed, and everyone seems to be having a great time.

However, the popularity of the club does have a downside: the lineup to get in is tremendous! On Tuesdays the club is open from 8pm-3am, and at about quarter to 8 a mob of people suddenly appears. Even the guestlist line is surprisingly long.
To guarantee a quick and early entrance, plan to arrive by 7:30pm. Or put in a request to make it onto the guestlist.
Also, by arriving by 10:30pm students who show their student ID pay only $5 for cover as opposed to the regular $10.
Additionally, if you are after a more luxurious experience you may even book a VIP table for you and your group!
If you are looking for a place to unwind mid-week, Celebrities Tuesdays should be on your list of places to visit! And if you are coming from other commitments – don’t worry – for a small fee there is a bag and coat check at the door! So this Tuesday, head down to party with the rest of the city!
