La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop
They started their shop through the idea of creating a taco joint that resembles the taste and feel of street tacos around Mexico. They serve a variety of meat, veggie, and seafood tacos. Try the Al Pastor (pork marinated in achiote chilli and pineapple). Located at 322 West Hastings and 2549 Cambie Street.
Tacofino
It all started with a food truck in Tofino—now, they have multiple restaurants and food trucks in Vancouver. Their classic is the crispy ling cod taco, filled with salsa fresca, cabbage, chipotle mayo and a hint of lime, yum! Located at 15 West Cordova Street and 2327 East Hastings Street. Their trucks can be spotted downtown!
La Casita Tacos
Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, ceviches—they’ve got it all. Their egg and green bean taco is to die for. Don’t forget about the free salsa bar! Located at 101 West Cordova Street.

Los Cuervos Taqueria & Cantina
So many tacos—so little time. Try the Alambre (bison skirt steak, bacon, melted cheese, onions and peppers). Make sure to leave room for dessert because they serve up some amazing churros with chocolate or cajeta sauce, or both if you can handle it. Located at 603 Kingsway.
La Mezcaleria
This Mexican restaurant serves up many delicious dishes—the tacos are no exception. They have tacos with braised beef cheeks, pork confit, free range chicken, yellow fin tuna and veggie, just to name a few. Located at 1622 Commercial Drive.
Sal y Limon
Mexican cuisine at its finest—this restaurant serves a variety of yummy tacos, including lamb, shrimp, beef tongue, pulled pork, fish and tofu. Located at 701 Kingsway.
