Car lovers are in luck, one of BBC’s most popular shows might test drive over to the 604 this year.
Top Gear, a British television series that reviews all types of motor vehicles, but primarily higher end cars. It is also one the most widely watched factual television shows in the world drawing 350 million views per week in 170 different countries.The show is currently hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
According to Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear could possibly be coming to Vancouver in November.
On September 16, he tweeted that he fancied traveling somewhere colder, wetter and windier than London. One of his followers responded saying that Vancouver, B.C is probably ruled out to which he responded “Nope, that’s in November.”

The tweet has a lot of car fanatics in metro Vancouver excited. Many have tweeted hot locations the drivers can feature on the show including a drive up the sea to sky highway. Others locations mentioned were Lions Gate Bridge, along the Stanley Park seawall, and across Alex Fraser Bridge.
In 2013, Vancouver was named the best international location for car commercials. Porsche was the latest car company to shoot a commercial in Vancouver when they debuted the all new Macan 2014.
