If you looked up to the skies on Saturday, you might’ve noticed the Bat Signal over downtown Vancouver.
The Bat Signal is a distress signal device that summons the popular superhero, Batman. It lights up Gotham City whenever he’s needed to help battle crime.
However, this particular signal was turned on for the CW’s Batwoman show that’s currently filming in Vancouver.

3/7/19 @ 9pm: Getting to see the Bat-Signal projected on the clouds over downtown Vancouver… priceless! Batman, and all things Batman, make my inner child get all excited, and this was pretty awesome! Soon as I got wind about this, I had to head downtown! Sure, it wasn't for Batman (The CW is filming Batwoman for tv here) but it was still pretty surreal. Seeing the Vancouver Art Gallery dressed to look like Gotham, too cool😮😀🤓 #ImBatman #VancouverNeverPlaysItself
Furthermore, production crews were spotted earlier this month transforming the Vancouver Art Gallery into Gotham.
Batwoman is played by none other than Australian model, DJ, boxer, recording artist, actress, television presenter, and MTV DJ Ruby Rose.
Here’s a look at her character.
Ruby Rose will play Batwoman in the Elseworlds crossover, which features episodes in The Flash, Supergirl, and Arrow, before her own Batwoman show is launched this year.
Ruby Rose shot to fame during season three of the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. She’s also had roles in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016), xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017) and John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017).
