Finland’s tourism board is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to folks without a significant other: a chance to find love while on a free vacation! That’s right, this is your moment to snag a trip and a new sweetheart all in one travel campaign.

Finnish Dinner Date
“Can you name a single Finnish dish? Most can’t. This is why we’re offering solo travellers a unique way to discover one of our best kept secrets: Europe’s last undiscovered cuisine,” reads Visit Finland’s website.
The campaign aims to transform Finland into a culinary destination that you won’t ever forget. This year, Finns all over the country were asked to identify the dishes that best represent Finland and its unique regions.
With those answers, some of the country’s top chefs came together to create Finland’s four official tasting menus, two of which will be offered on an all-expenses-paid trip for 16 lucky international singles in February 2027.
What’s Included in the Trip?
For one, you’ll get to try one of Finland’s official tasting menus. But you’ll also get a completely free 4-day vacation to Finland, which comes with a full, hosted itinerary of activities and dining throughout the stay!
Your vacation will culminate in a group dinner date in either Helsinki or Lakeland, with each location joined by two local Finnish singles.
How to Apply
First off, you need to be at least 18-years-old and be a non-resident of Finland.
After that, you are asked to complete a social media challenge by answering this question on your application video in English: what would you serve on a dinner date, and why? You can post your video on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, and use #FinnishDinnerDate and tag @ourfinland on Instagram, @visitfinland.com on TikTok, and @VisitFinland on YouTube.
Your profile must also be public so your video may be viewed.
You’ll also be required to fill out the application form on Visit Finland’s website, where you can add a link to your social media challenge video.
Applications close on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:59 AM Finnish time (EET, UTC+2). Once your application is in, all that’s left to do is wait— you’ll be contacted personally if you’ve been selected. A public selection announcement will be released on December 1, 2026.
