Choking Hazard Triggers Major Toy Recall In Canada

Health Canada has issued a recall for a popular spinning toy that was sold in Canada through SHEIN.

According to the notice, consumers are warned to “immediately stop using” the recalled product.

Toy Recall in Canada

The product in question is a Spiral Toy. It comes in various coloured platforms (three, five, or seven, depending on the model). These toys can be stacked, and come with several yellow plastic balls with a bear head and a basket at the top. One model comes with a basket and a bull head.

“The packaging lists the manufacturer, manufacturer’s address and email, product name, batch code and various warnings on a sticker label. A separate sticker label has the SKU code ‘sl25013088678574868’ with a bar code and ‘Made in China’ along with various Chinese characters.”

Health Canada notes the issue as being a potential choking hazard, as “the toys contain small balls and are intended for children under three years of age.”

There have been no reports of incident or injury in Canada as of September 1, 2026.

Consumers are advised to “immediately stop using the recall product, safely dispose of it in such a way that it cannot be used again and contact SHEIN Canada for a refund.”
