A standout festival season
Suntail Drink Co. has earned the title of best-performing product in Feaster Festival & Events history. Feaster also named the brand its highest-performing product across the festival portfolio in 2026. The recognition comes during Suntail’s second year of partnership with Feaster. Thousands of festivalgoers have tried the canned cocktails at events focused on food, drinks, music and culture.
Feaster produces major festival experiences across Canada and North America. Its portfolio includes Rosé Disco, Country Club, Punchbowl, Harvest Haus and Whisky Global. These events attract different audiences. A summer crowd at Rosé Disco may differ from guests at Harvest Haus or Whisky Global. Feaster says Suntail has connected with consumers across its portfolio, not just at one event.
For Suntail, festivals offer a natural way to introduce the brand. The company designed its cocktails for social occasions. Busy events let the team meet consumers in the setting the product suits best.
“To be called the best-performing product in Feaster festival history is an incredible milestone for us, especially this early in Suntail’s journey,” said Ken Sanghera, co-founder and CEO of Suntail Drink Co.
“Feaster creates the exact kinds of experiences Suntail was made for: great people, great energy and moments worth celebrating. This partnership has given thousands of people the chance to experience Suntail, and their response has been better than we could have imagined.”
A tequila cocktail lineup
Suntail makes ready-to-drink cocktails with premium blue-agave tequila. The drinks also use micro-carbonation, which creates less fizz than many traditional canned cocktails. Each can contains four grams of sugar. The drinks contain no artificial colours or flavours. Suntail says this approach creates a cleaner, crisper drink while preserving the flavour people expect from a cocktail.
The lineup includes three margarita-inspired flavours:
- Citrón, a lemon-lime margarita
- Sandia, a watermelon margarita
- Soleada, a tropical mango margarita
The ready-to-drink category continues to grow more crowded. Festivals give consumers a direct way to compare products. Suntail’s performance during Feaster’s 2026 season suggests the brand has moved beyond initial curiosity and built a repeat audience.
Direct consumer feedback
That response matters to a company in its second year. Retail sales can show what sells, but they do not always explain why. Festivals give the Suntail team a chance to speak with consumers and hear their reactions.
The team can also watch which flavours people choose. That feedback helps the company refine its presentation and marketing. Suntail has built its identity around colourful flavour names, approachable margarita profiles and shared celebrations. Those elements help the brand stand out in a busy category.
Feaster says the Suntail team also contributes to the partnership’s success.
“Suntail is the best-performing product we have ever had across our festival portfolio and our highest-performing product of 2026,” said Gez McAlpine, vice-president of sales and partnerships at Feaster.
“The product connects with our guests, the liquid stands out and the Suntail team understands how to create a strong festival experience. It has quickly become one of our most important brand partnerships.”
Expansion beyond B.C.
The recognition comes during a period of rapid growth for Suntail. After launching in British Columbia, the company announced its first expansion outside the province with a rollout in Alberta. The Alberta launch will begin in Calgary and Edmonton. Suntail plans to enter more Alberta markets later. The company will also continue growing in B.C. through retail placements, festivals, hospitality venues and local partnerships.
Although Suntail has national ambitions, Sanghera says the Feaster recognition carries extra weight because the company remains in its early stages.
“Our goal has always been to create a better tequila cocktail without compromising on flavour or quality,” he said. “The response through Feaster tells us we are building something people genuinely want.”
Suntail plans to continue working with Feaster as both companies expand across Canada.
For festivalgoers, the partnership should keep the brand part of the Feaster experience as the company adds events and markets. For Suntail, the relationship offers a way to build national awareness while maintaining direct connections with consumers.
