Winter has officially arrived in the lower mainland.
Residents and visitors to Metro Vancouver woke up to a dusting of snow today, and the forecast calls for more to come throughout the week.
With this in mind, there’s no better time to get out and enjoy some of the incredible Christmas lights that the region has on display. Indeed, some of them are positively enchanting, and even some houses give larger displays a run for their money.

Christmas Lights in Metro Vancouver
Rudolph & Friends Christmas Lights Display
This beautiful home is decorated with hundreds of lights, holiday characters, and an illuminated Canadian flag until January 1st. Ken and Bonnie Fletcher have been showcasing the lovely annual display for 16 years.

Burnlake Drive Musical Display
You can enjoy some Christmas music along with this lovely display on radio station FM 92.3. While this display is covered in Christmas fixtures, it has added a tropical parade to spice up the frosty decor. A must see!

Christmas Lights Extravaganza
This lovely house is located in Tina is raising funds for alzheimer’s research in lovely memory of her mother. You can make an online donations for the Alzheimer Society of B.C.

Musical Surrey Home
The display is raising funds for the Parkinson Society of B.C. It includes 5,000 lights and 3,000 of them sequenced to music.

Time: The music begins each hour for 30 minutes.
Chalet Lights Charity
This beautiful display is located in North Vancouver and continues to raise a great deal of money for charity over the holiday season. In fact, from 2010 to 2016, this Ribalkin/Viau family has raised $65,252.38 and 769 bags of groceries with their glittering display. 100% of both the cash and food donations will go to support the Harvest Project, Shriners Care for Kids, and the BC Epilepsy Society

The Chang’s Xmas 2017
This beautiful Delta display includes a festive glowing wreath and a marvellous candy cane lane. There are numerous glowing characters that comprise the festive scene.

Wish Upon A Star
This incredible house allows visitors to see an incredible 44,000 lights, many animated characters, an interactive musical snowman, and Santa with his sleigh flying overhead.This is all put on by Carla Fraser and Brad MacLean. Equally important, ALL proceeds will benefit BC Children’s Hospital

Winter’s Wonderland
This festive home is located at 6357 Neville Street, and it has some incredible features. Among the thousands of twinkling lights there are numerous characters and a couple of beautiful displays. There’s an incredible nativity scene, and even a Santa’s workshop complete with elves! In addition, a magical train is making its way across the enchanted exhibit.

2017 Lightshow Deck the Halls
This incredible Surrey display is actually synced to music, making it an incredible audio/visual experience. Spectators can tune their radios to 88.3 FM to listen to the display’s music that is synced with the lights.

St. Paul’s Hospital’s Lights of Hope
St. Paul’s Hospital’s Lights of Hope features over 10km of lights, 100,000 bulbs and hundreds of sponsored stars and marks the beginning of the holiday season. It is also the biggest fundraiser of the year for the patients at the hospital.

George Family Lights
Synchronized to music, this frosty display is twinkling with wintry shades of blue and white. Enjoy from the warmth of your car or on an evening stroll with a mug of cacao.
