Calling all adventure seekers! There’s a new trail that should definitely be added to your hiking bucket list for the Summer. The new and improved Watersprite Lake Trail is situated 20-kms east of Squamish at the Skookum Power Project Water Intake Dam.
The notably and picturesque turquoise-coloured lake is a stunning sight to see, and it makes the hike well worth it.
The trail was completed by BC Mountaineering Club after the old route was deactivated due to extensive damage along the bog portion. The new trail was completed in September 2016.
Check it out this Summer during the peak season starting in July and going through September.
There will also be a cozy cabin that sleeps 10-people, if you want to extend your adventure.
The hut is located near the lake but won’t be open for business until the Summer months.
Hikers who have made the trek to Watersprite Lake in the past know how beautiful the area is.
But the new route will offer even more stunning views as a result of the ridges located above the Watersprite Creek Trail.
