Additionally, the benefits are quite competitive. The starting salary is $85,392 and can grow to $121,992 within just four years. Moreover, all police buildings have gyms, career and mental health support, and an athletic therapist, massage therapist, and physiotherapists on staff.

VPD HIRING

The VPD offers experiences in a range of topics. You can be part of teams in cybercrime, forensic identification, homicide, marine, mounted, or neighbourhood policing. Of course, certain positions have certain requirements, but any of your questions can be answered by one of the VPD’s recruiters.

To learn more about working with the VPD and their hiring process, the department will be hosting two in-person information sessions. One will be on October 11 and the other on October 29, with registration available right now.

One-on-one sessions are also being offered on October 12 for those who would like to ask any specific questions with the recruiters. And if you like a more casual setting, you can also run with a recruiter to learn all about the application process while getting your steps in for the day. Running with a recruiter will be happening on October 7 and October 21.

All of these sessions do require registration, so be sure to do that sooner rather than later.
