All other trains on the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor are 25%, also for Economy and Business fare.
But if you’re looking for something that goes across the country, then you’ll want to ride on the Canadian.
VANCOUVER TO TORONTO
One of VIA Rail’s most iconic trains is the Canadian. The Canadian takes passengers on a multi-day transcontinental trip from Vancouver to Toronto– or vice-versa. The views are as stunning as you think, and the ride is smooth with spectacular service. It’s also Canada’s one and only train that runs across the country.
VIA Rail is offering deals on the Canadian in Economy and Sleeper Plus classes. You can save 20% on Economy fare aboard the Canadian– as well as the Ocean and regional trains– between January 12 and March 31, 2026. This will save you approximately $104. You can also get 20% off the Sleeper Plus discounted fare in Sleeper Plus class on the Canadian and the Ocean between the same dates.

The best deal is definitely for VIA Rail’s 30% discount. This one applies to the Sleeper Plus class on the Canadian, and gets you discounted fare for berths. You’ll be saving around $263 on your ticket!
Depending on your needs, Economy class might be enough for you on the Canadian. It has all the standard workings of your average Economy trip, although with a few different things since this is a train and not a plane. You get enough leg room, access to the Skyline car and an electrical outlet, and snacks and beverages available for purchase.
But the Sleeper Class is definitely worth the upgrade if the train ride is part of your vacation– not just the vehicle you’re using to get to your destination. You get the best of a hotel while on the road, with priority boarding, meal service, shower access, and the ability to reserve private and semi-private accommodations.
Don’t miss your chance to get in on these sweet deals. They’re on from now until October 14, 2025, so book your tickets while you can!
