Vancouver Left Off Top Friendliest Cities in BC List, But Is It Unfriendly?

Vancouver weather forecast

Vancouver has a great deal of visitors throughout the year; however, some people feel that the oceanside city is rather unfriendly.

Expedia recently compiled a list of the friendliest communities throughout Canada. Unfortunately, Vancouver didn’t make the top 25.

The ratings are based on hotel reviews from a list of over 750 destinations. Specifically, the final 25 communities had to have at least 100 reviews and a four-star rating or higher.

“These ratings indicate the most helpful, dutiful, and welcoming experiences across the country,” read the report.

Eight communities in BC did make the list. These include: Tofino, Ucluelet, Ucluelet, Invermere, Radium Hot Springs, Nelson, Fernie and Victoria.

Coming in third, Tofino made an impression with rave reviews.

“It might just be those surfer vibes that make Tofino, British Columbia, so friendly. The beautiful waves and relaxed atmosphere certainly make an impression on visitors.”

Is Vancouver Unfriendly?

Vancouver consistently ranks in the top ten five liveable cities in the world. In fact, it ranked as the third most liveable city in the world just last year.

And, in a recent poll conducted by Ipsos Global Advisor, Canada ranked as having the most positive global inpact.

With that in mind, Vancouverities also struggle to make ends meet. With the worst housing market in national history, some people may feel less that chipper.

Do you think that Vancouver is an unfriendly city? If so, how unfriendly is it, and why do you think that people are so cold?
