Vancouver is getting a brand-new direct destination for vacations!
This October, Flair Airlines is officially launching flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Guanajuato International Airport (BJX).

“Welcoming BJX into our network marks the first-ever direct connection between the Bajío region and Canada,” said Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines. “We’re making it easier for customers to discover this vibrant region with travel that is reliable, easy, and affordable, and built for memorable moments.”
Vancouver to Guanajuato
This new flight allows direct access to the Bajío region, which is “known for its rich cultural heritage and economic importance.”
The Bajío region is packed with tons of adventures. Within it, you can find the city of Guanajuato with its winding streets and historic centre.
You can also find colonial-era mansions, churches, and colourful civic buildings. There’s plenty of history to be found everywhere you look in Guanajuato and the rest of the Bajío region.
On the connection, the Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, said,
We are very excited to launch this new connection between Vancouver, Canada, and the Bajío region. We are bringing more of Guanajuato to the world, a destination with a unique identity, rich cultural heritage, and a high-value tourism offering. This route not only makes new experiences more accessible but also helps strengthen the ties between our communities and create more opportunities for our people.
Flair’s route from YVR to BJX launches on October 3, offering a direct way to get to one of Mexico’s most dynamic regions. Fares start at $189, with flights operating weekly from the launch date.
