Metro Vancouver’s $32-million Lotto 6/49 winning ticket has just been claimed.
Last week, 604 Now reported on BCLC’s missing lottery winner whose ticket matched the 10-digit raffle number to score the Gold Ball Jackpot. That winner has now been named.

Surrey resident Amritpal S. decided to head to White Rock to clear his head after a busy day. There, he found out that there was a lottery win in Surrey and decided to scan his ticket. It was then that he found out he had just won the $32-million Gold Ball Jackpot from the September 19, 2026 Lotto 6/49 draw.
The first person Amritpal told was his sister, who he interrupted while she was eating dinner at home. “My sister was the first person I told. She was speechless and started crying.”
As for celebrations, Amritpal is going to celebrate with his family. He’s taking some time to decide what he’s going to do with his winnings, although he did share that he plans to help his parents and sister, purchase a house, and get a few cars.
“I know I can buy anything I want, but I’m still taking some time to decide. My dream car is a Dodge Challenger though.”
On how it feels to win, Amrit said, “I’m so happy! This will change my life.”
The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven on 152 Street and 104 Avenue in Surrey.
