Vancouver Students Compete To Be SFU Entrepreneur Of The Year

The entrepreneurial community of young people in Vancouver is rapidly growing. As the supply of business students increases, so does the demand to be titled “Entrepreneur of the Year”!

The SEY 2012 is a competition where young businessmen and businesswomen present their self-made enterprises in hopes of winning the grand prize and bragging rights. Prizes include funding up to $3,000, and 4-months of office space valued at $1,500.

Cliff Mander – CKM Sports Management
Tommy McKinnon – Analytical Path
Andrew Simard – GNUMatrix Consulting Corporation
Daria Mostowa – PLA Naturals
Sukhi Sangha – Sangha’s Learning Centre
Ouldooz Karimi – Wifier
Michael Tran – MLT Media

The final competition and awards ceremony will be held at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel on Saturday, November 24th from 2:00-6:30. The panel of judges this year will include five local industry professionals. The event is open to anyone who wishes to attend.

This “Dragon’s Den” style competition started in 2008 by Enactus SFU, formerly known as SIFE Simon Fraser. This globally recognized organization strives to develop programs, which are beneficial to the community in social, environmental, and economic aspects.
