Looking for an open run during the week? Get a sweat and give back to charity at the Olympic Oval. It’s $5 bucks a week and it all goes to charity. The last two dates are March 26th and April 2nd.
March 29 | Extreme Music Bingo
Come out and take part in an extreme game of music bingo! Catch the fun at The Buck & Ear Bar and Grill from 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
March 31 | Easter Eggstravaganza

April 1 | Easter Brunch

April 6 | Uniqlo Grand Opening
UNIQLO, the Japanese fashion brand that has become one of the world’s biggest fashion retailers, is set to open a location in Richmond Centre this spring.
It’s set to open on April 6th, and will be conveniently located on the first floor of the shopping mall. The sales department will be about 8,010 feet.
April 6 | The Exhibition
“The Exhibition”: Footprints Youth Leadership team hopes to promote local youth artists as well as diverse forms of fine arts and culture to the general public through our exciting annual event. Admission is free.
April 8 | Cherry Blossom Festival
The Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival is set amongst 255 Akebono cherry blossom trees at Garry Point Park, on the mouth of the Fraser River.
April 8 | Face Off Against Cancer 2018
Come out to the 4th Annual Face Off Against Cancer Hockey Tournament presented by the Vancouver Canucks Alumni. The charity hockey tournament raises money for the Canadian Cancer Society and pediatric cancer research and support programs.
The festival will feature a day of traditional Japanese music and dance performances, delicious food options and fun activities as celebrated in Japan.
April 13 | Thunder From Down Under
Ladies! Australia’s Thunder from Down Under will be at the River Rock Casino Resort on Friday, April 13th.
April 14 | Vancouver Fashion Festival
The Vancouver Fashion Festival comes to Pacific Gateway Hotel at Vancouver Airport this spring. It’ll have a kickoff party, fashion showcase, and a dance party.
April 21 | BrickCan 2018 Public LEGO Exhibition
Richmond will once again host the popular adult LEGO fan convention BrickCan On Saturday, April 21st and Sunday, April 22nd, 2018. The four-day convention will take place at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond.
Visitors will be able to explore all the incredible creations, and also do some building of their own in the “Creation Station”.
For those looking to shop, you’ll have the option to pick-up some rare classic or custom sets, unique accessories, artwork, jewelry, and cool T-shirts from “Vendor Alley”.
April 21 | Krav Maga Ground Survival
In this seminar, you will look at all aspects of ground fighting from basic concepts to weapons on the ground. It is a great intro or a great refresher. Tickets range from $50-$80.
Richmond Art Gallery leads this tour of the Canada Line Public Art Project at Bridgeport, Aberdeen, Lansdowne, and Richmond-Brighouse Canada Line Stations featuring the diverse lens-based works of BC-based artists Karilynn Ming Ho, Marisa Kriangwiwat Holmes, David Semeniuk, and Ho Tam. Admission is free.
April 29 | Move For Polio
Move for those who can’t. Help us end polio today one step at a time!
Move For Polio is a 5km Run/Walk event that fundraises for Rotary International “End Polio Now Campaign”. It takes place at Garry Point on Sunday, April 29th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
May 11 | Heritage Fair
Drop by to see this annual showcase of history project displays created by local elementary and secondary students and take part in fun activities that celebrate Canada’s history and heritage. It’ll take place on Friday, May 11th and Saturday, May 12th.
Vancouver Battle Royale, in partnership with BCLC, is back for another action packed day of non-stop gaming! Vancouver’s largest locally organized tournament is now more diverse than ever and has grown to include 14 titles.

May 17 | Hoopfest 2018
Corporate and community teams of 5-10 players participate in a fun evening that includes a wheelchair basketball tournament, dinner and raffle prizes.
This is mainstream karate’s largest karate tournament in Canada, using the WKF rules, which are the same for karate in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
Any ages and levels are welcome to participate and win trophies and medals! The event runs from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17th.

Dave will introduce you to cartooning. Using his own two recently published books, he will explain his style of “simplify and exaggerate”, and his approach to cartooning. This program is suitable for beginners in grades 5 – 7.

Interested in meeting board game players in the area? Come down to Pastime Sports and Games Tsawwassen Mills every Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. It’s free to join and everyone is welcome!

The BC Pipers Indoor Competition takes place at North Delta Secondary School on Saturday, March 31st. This event marks the first indoor competition of the year.

This is a class that combines the two of our favourite activities, yoga and wine tasting!
Kevin McKinnon, our new Wednesday evening Yoga teacher and manager of Marquis Wine Cellars, will lead a flow yoga class, followed by a small tasting. Learn about the wines from someone who has 30 years in the wine business. Tickets are $40.
April 8 | Empowering Inversions Workshop with Kim
Learn how to safely add inversions to your yoga practice in this fun and informative afternoon. Yoga inversions don’t have to feel scary! You’ll learn the headstand, forearm stand, handstand, and shoulderstand.
April 15 | Chakra / Lava Beading Class

There will be great food, drinks, a live band, 50/50 draw, and prizes! All money raised will go towards helping cats in need, including spay/neuter and medical treatment.

April 28 | Target Lock Hunger Charity Event
You’re invited to the 2nd Annual Target Lock Hunger X-wing Charity Event! All funds and food raised will be going to support the Surrey Food Bank. Last year they raised $1590. Tickets are $20.
April 28 | Open Studio
This class is open to those who are taking, or have taken, classes with us in the past. Open Studio fosters connection and learning with others taking our encaustic classes. As well, Open Studio allows for in-depth/ additional time to work on your encaustic work. The event runs on Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
April 28 | Go Fish! P-art-y N!ght
This is an intermediate painting party for those who have done at least one before and/or have some painting experience. It’s a social, relaxed way to get out and get creative. Check out the link to my website for more details and to book your seats.

June 9 | Vancouver WHL Prospect Combine
The Western Hockey League, in partnership with Okanagan Hockey have tested more than 10,000 players across Western Canada and the United States.
The WHL Prospect Combines are designed to assist high level minor hockey players with their skill development, ability assessment, and provide exposure to the WHL by participating in comprehensive on-ice & off-ice testing with state of the art equipment designed by Sport Testing Inc.
Catch all the action at Planet Ice on Saturday, June 9th and Sunday, June 10th, 2018.
