Hiking & Biking
Burke Mountain is home to a network of trails that can accommodate mountain bikers of any skill level with a suitable terrain. Please remember to respect nature (including bears) and stay on the trails.
This steep urban 4.5-km trail round-trip follows a route under hydro power lines. While it’s not a great spot to catch some views, it does make for an awesome workout. The popular cardio spot is in for a major makeover in the near future that may make it a legit alternative for Vancouver’s Grouse Grind.
This hidden gem has 6-kms of scenery to explore. With minimal elevation gain, it’s an easy 2-hour trek round-trip.
An easy 7-km round-trip route that leads you to a cascading waterfall that feeds into the Coquitlam River. It takes about 2-hours to complete.
Minnekhada Regional Park
An underrated spot with 10-kms of lush forested trails to explore. See lots of wildlife and nature in this 2.5-hour trek.

West Coast Amusements, the largest Canadian midway operation in Western Canada is coming to Coquitlam! It will take place at Coquitlam Centre from Thursday, April 12th – Sunday, April 15th, 2018.
April 20 | Price Is Right Live
The Price Is Right Live will be in Coquitlam for live stage shows from Friday, April 20th – Sunday, April 22nd, 2018.

May 26 | Family Fun Day 2018 at PMCC
Come on out to the 7th annual Family Fun Day. This free event is filled with community booths, games, crafts, food, and live entertainment. Back by popular demand, this year’s headliner is JUNO nominee Will Stroet and the Backyard Band.
May 27 | Tourism Week
Invite friends and family to visit Coquitlam to check out and enjoy all their urban, natural city has to offer.
June 9 | Daisy Day
Come out to the 8th Annual Daisy Day taking place on Saturday, June 9th. Not to mention, there will be a free pancake breakfast until 10:30 a.m.

June 10 | Teddy Bear Picnic
This event has fun for all young children. It will feature storytelling, puppet shows, rovers, gymnastics and more from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Make sure you also check out the Grand Parade from 9:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
June 16 | Scottish Festival
Sit back and enjoy the massed pipe bands and the best Scottish music in the Pacific Northwest including the world champion Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. Everyone is welcome.
June 17 | Lafarge Lake Annual Free Fishing Day
Come to Lafarge Lake for a free family-friendly day of fishy fun and prizes during BC’s free fishing weekend – when anglers can fish BC’s waters without a licence. The Lake is stocked for the day and volunteers are available to teach fishing techniques.
